Description

Crews Hill Golf Course includes some of the best remnant acid grassland in Enfield borough, some associated woodland as well as a section of the Turkey Brook.

Wildlife

The fairways support spiny restharrow, which is very rare in London, along with harebell and heath bedstraw, sheep's-sorrel, tormentil and burnet-saxifrage. Some extensive areas of gorse and broom are also to be found. Woodland along the riverside includes the London rarity greater burnet-saxifrage, as well as pendulous sedge. Birds present here include green woodpecker and linnet. The site is also of interest for insects and amphibians.
