Description

This attractive churchyard is a valuable green oasis in a heavily built up part of the London. The grave of Christopher Marlowe, the Elizabethan dramatist and contemporary of Shakespeare, is here.

Wildlife

Most of the numerous trees here are London planes. This is a good site to study ferns; two regionally uncommon species occur here - rustyback, which is particularly rare in London, and maidenhair spleenwort.
