Description

This large park lies immediately to the south of Mudchute Farm and Park and is dominated by the viaduct of the old Millwall Extension Railway.Being located next to the Mudchute, the site provides a range of habitats and outdoor facilities. Facilities in Millwall Park include a bowling green, a basketball court and children’s play facilities.

Wildlife

Millwall Park consists of large areas of well-used amenity grassland, with both native and exotic trees around the edges. Habitat diversification has been attempted with the creation of a small, colourful wildflower meadow on the side of the park near the viaduct.Wildflowers here include oxeye daisy, fennel, scented mayweed, lucerne, and selfheal. A number of trees and shrubs have also been planted, including field maple, dogwood, and hawthorn.
