Norwood Park is situated on one of the highest points in Lambeth and offers some amazing views across South London. The Park contains a large wet play and children’s playground, outdoor gym, multiuse games court, skateboard park, toilets, along with a community garden and café. The park is particularly important for wildlife and people’s access to nature, and includes a tree-lined ‘Country Walk’, a fenced wildlife pond and extensive native hedges. Norwood Park is also a key site within London Wildlife Trust’s ‘Great North Wood’ project. The project is designed to increase awareness of the original Great North Wood, and to improve public access to and involvement in their local open spaces through signage, volunteering and guided walks or talks.
