Dagnam Park, known locally as the Manor, is a historic landscape designed by Humphry Repton. Once the site of an estate dating back to the 18th century, which stood until 1950, the park offers local access to species-rich grassland, ancient and semi-natural woodland and ponds.Cockerell’s moated site (of Dagnam Park Farm), in the south of the site is a scheduled ancient monument and is a well-known breeding pond for great crested newts. The park forms part of The Manor Nature Reserve alongside Hatter’s, Fir and Duck Wood. In 2012 the boundary of the park was expanded to include fields to the north and parts of Forge House Paddocks, Hill Farm, Manor Farm, Meadow Cottages and Chicken Meadow.
