Twenty one hectares of local open space. There are entrances in Sevenoaks Way, Kent Road and High Street. There is a boating pond-the only one currently available in the Borough. There is no children’s play area with equipment, but the paddling pool, is open during school holidays. During the Second World War 1939-1945 land on the banks of the Cray laid waste by the bombs that were dropped by the German Air force. Riverside Gardens was created from this wasteland after the war
