Oak Hill Park
Borough: Barnet
Space type: Park
Area: 25.71 ha
Address: Church Hill Road, East Barnet, EN4 8QD

One of Barnet’s ‘Premier Parks’ and among its largest green spaces. Boasts large, open and sweeping grassland areas and fine views across the park to the Theological College on the brow of the hill. The park has meadows managed by ‘cut and lift’ management to help enhance the rich butterfly populations. The Pymme’s Brook Trail follows the stream through the park. Other facilities include a play area, a golf course and tennis courts. The multiball court was initiated by the Friends of Oakhill Park through grant funding. The park has its own ancient woodland consisting of oak and hornbeam canopy, with some fine exotic trees. There are two nature trails through the woodland with steep paths that can get muddy in winter! The woodlands are managed by the London Wildlife Trust (LWT), while the woods and the surrounding meadows are a Local Nature Reserve (LNR).
