Opening: 7.30am each weekday and 9.00am Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Closing: 16.30pm to 21.30 varying throughout the year. Check Borough website for actual weekly times.

This recreation ground consists of six hectares of open space. The main entrance is in Queen’s Mead Road. There is a footpath that runs from Recreation Road across to Glassmill Lane.
In 1887 this area was a meadow. The Local Board purchased it in honour of the Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
