The wetlands were developed to provide an area for wildlife, reduce flooding in the area and improve local water quality created following the discovery of the Moore Brook under the site. The site is a testament to the collaboration between organisations and communities in transforming an unused public space into an amenity that can be enjoyed by both wildlife and people.
