Ufton Gardens is split into two halves, a garden on one side of the road and a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) on the other, with the area of road in between closed to traffic to improve the link between them. Since 2020 Hackney Council and de Beauvoir Gardeners have worked together to look after the space and the garden side now has borders planted for colour and biodiversity; three raised beds which are used by local families to grow food; numerous art installations; bug hotels; a wildflower meadow in the summer; and a woodland area where local nurseries learn about insects in their very own forest school.
