Whitewebbs Park is 196 acres and consists of formal parkland, large areas of woodland, an 18th century house and a pay-as-you-play 18 hole golf course. The park was once part of the Enfield Chase hunting forest, and the woods which occupied this area are documented in the Domesday Book. Both the ancient woodland and golf course were purchased for the benefit of the people of Enfield by Enfield Corporation in 1931. The golf course was opened in July 1932.
