Space to Visit

A large park next to the Civic Centre it contains a nature area, tennis courts and a crazy golf area. It also homes a Peace Garden filled with roses and a round pond, annual beds, lawns, and a well equipped children’s play area. For the under 5’s the playground contains a carousel, a multi-play area and two swings. For the over 5’s the playground contains four agility frames including a wobble platform, a spring platform, a metal balance beam, a chain walk, a burma bridge, a multi-play area and two swings. Seating for adults is also provided. It was bought from a member of the public for £10,000 and originally agricultural land, it was opened as a public park on 31st May 1930.
