Churchfields (or Church Fields) Recreation ground is largely open fields with scattered trees, the grass left long in parts . The perimeter of the site is lined with trees and shrubs and there are small nature conservation areas. There is a playground with some accessible equipment, playing fields, a basketball court and an outdoor gym. The site also includes a bowling green that is leased to a club but open to members of the public
