Valentines Park is the borough’s premier and largest formal park, occupying 125 acres of land. The Grade II listed park encompasses many historical features within the fine 17th century Rococo landscape. These include a Grade II listed mansion, ornate grottoes, water features and walled gardens. The park was awarded Heritage Lottery funding of over £3 million to restore the historically significant landscape and building. As well as historical features, there is something for everyone with numerous sports facilities, a cafe, a children’s play area and a full annual events programme.
