Wildlife
The main wildlife habitats are small pockets of woodland and areas of herb-rich grassland. The woodland canopy is dominated by pedunculate oak, hornbeam, sycamore and horse-chestnut, over cow parsley and bluebell. Some additional native woodland has been planted in recent years. Breeding birds include great spotted woodpecker, long-tailed tit and nuthatch.Patches of more diverse grassland have cuckooflower, sweet vernal-grass, lesser stitchwort, germander speedwell and, on drier soils, pignut and oval sedge, both locally scarce.Facilities
