Description

This section of Hackney Marshes borders with the River Lee Navigation Hackney Cut, just across from the main part of Hackney Marshes. The green is popular spot for both active and passive recreation.

Wildlife

Daubeny Green has considerable areas of scrub, resulting from habitat creation projects. Hawthorn, elder and poplar are the dominant species. This provides good nesting and feeding habitat for common birds. Some of the grassland within the park, though close mown, contains sheep's sorrel, indicating an underlying acidic soil.
