Description
Wildlife
The park is interestingly contoured, taking full advantage of being on a slope. The broad belts of shrubs and young trees along the northern and western edges contain a good proportion of native species, including hawthorn, elder, field maple, guelder rose and almond willow. A bank at the northern end offers a fair range of wildflowers, including parsley-piert, a tiny, insignificant-looking member of the rose family. This is characteristic of dry, sandy grassland and is quite uncommon in London.Facilities
