Wildlife
There are several planted shrubberies around the park which along with the trees provide refuge for common birds such as blackbirds, wrens and greenfinches as well as large numbers of woodpigeons and starlings. There are a number of interesting trees including maidenhair tree and Indian bean tree, and in the east of the park there is a large clump of common stork's-bill the amenity grassland. In the west of the park a fenced of area has been turned into a nature area with a relaxed mowing regime. This supports a diverse mix of grasses and small populations of wild carrot, sainfoin, ox-eye daisy, common bird's-foot-trefoil, meadow buttercup, white campion, bladder campion and corncockle.Facilities
