Valentines Park, just north of Ilford, is a good example of country house parkland of the classic period. It contains many features of both historic and natural interest, including Valentines Mansion, built around 1696-7. Valentines is the largest park in Redbridge borough, with many veteran trees and wide expanses of grassland. The park, mansion and many of the garden features are Grade II listed by English Heritage. Redbridge Walk to Health Initiative uses this site a Walking the Way to Health (WHI) scheme; see link for details.
