Description

Primarily made up of a small woodland and adjacent area of wildflower meadow, this site also features a large hedge and a dry ditch adding to its habitats.

Wildlife

The woodland is dominated by oaks, including some ancient pollarded trees. Parts of the woods have a good shrub layer, including Midland hawthorn, blackthorn, crab apple and field maple. Younger trees have been planted on the northern edge to extend the wood.The meadows have a colourful display of selfheal, red bartsia, common knapweed, birds-foot trefoil, hoary ragwort, perforate St John's-wort and wild parsnip. Buttercups emblazon the sward in the summer. The hedge is dominated by hawthorn.
