These attractive formally managed public gardens are landscaped in tiers running down from Martin’s Hill to a pond and embanked length of the River Ravensbourne. A very large number of people use these central Bromley gardens, which are a popular office lunch break site in good weather.

Wildlife
The well-maintained shrubbery and flower beds of Church House Gardens offer little opportunity for native flora, but the gardens do provide the potential for some access to nature through the visible and audible wildfowl, other birds and common invertebrates. Martin's Hill is a less intensively managed area of acid grassland with a few indicator species such as sheep's sorrel and tormentil and patches of broom scrub which lends the name to Bromley. It is attractively left uncut in early summer and edged with secondary woodland.Facilities
