Description

This large cemetery has lots of trees and some interesting patches of grassland.

Wildlife

The density of conifer and board-leaved trees in this cemetery almost qualifies it as a woodland. Some of the conifers are mature and now form fine specimen trees, particularly the line of deodar cedars near the entrance. Most of the grassland around the graves is not very species-rich but in places it has a high proportion of flowers with frequent selfheal, oxeye daisy, common dog-violet, common bird's-foot-trefoil and yarrow. In the south-west of the cemetery, several clumps of the uncommon grey sedge grow.
