Wildlife
Hadley Wood Golf Course contains woodland with oak, birch and hawthorn. The woodland supports breeding sparrowhawk, nuthatch and great spotted woodpecker, as well as purple hairstreak butterflies. The golf course also has some interesting ponds with diverse vegetation including reed sweet-grass, water mint, yellow flag and gypsywort. Birds in the wetland areas include coot and moorhen, and the ponds support great crested newts. Covert Way Field is dominated by grassland supporting the scarce adder's-tongue fern, as well as a locally scarce spider, the four-spot orb weaver.Facilities
