Wildlife

This site includes new biodiversity friendly planting of native wildflowers, scrub and trees. The wildflower turf grassland habitat in the northwest of the site has a high floristic diversity. Extensive planting of native scrub and tree has been undertaken through the south of the site, providing a valuable woodland resource in this urban setting. Areas of more formal planting and play were also located at the north of ‘fingers' of greenspace extending from the southern woodland into the development. Although more formal, they include tree and scrub planting of potential value to wildlife and provide opportunities for access to nature, providing excellent viewing locations in to the woodland area.
