A small churchyard with an excellent range of lichens on its tombstones.

Wildlife

This small churchyard has a diverse lichen flora on its tombstones. This is probably the best lichen site in the Borough of Wandsworth, although it has not been surveyed in detail. Between the graves is neutral grassland with a substantial population of burnet-saxifrage (Pimpinella saxifraga), which is uncommon in Wandsworth, as well as an attractive range of commoner wild flowers. Trees include some fine mature yews, and small areas of scrub provide structure, nectar sources and cover for a good range of common birds and invertebrates.
